Stainless Steel Strapping buckles for securing Bandfix system used in conjunction with Bandfix banding and Bandfix banding tool provide an excellent fastening system that offers resistance to moderate corrosion.
Also referred to as ear-lokt buckles these buckles can also be used to secure other common brands of stainless steel banding. Used for a variety of industries for general fastening. These are ideal for sign fixing, often the strapping is used with a sign to band it to a post and secured by a buckle or clip.
Grade 201 Stainless Steel Banding Buckles:
Grade 201 stainless steel is a type of austenitic stainless steel. It is less expensive than Grade 304 and Grade 316, making it a cost-effective option in some applications. Here's when you might use Grade 201 banding buckles:
-
Indoor Applications: Grade 201 stainless steel is suitable for indoor applications where it is not exposed to harsh environmental conditions, moisture, or corrosive chemicals. It provides adequate corrosion resistance in less aggressive environments.
-
Light to Moderate Corrosion Resistance: Grade 201 offers moderate corrosion resistance compared to Grade 304 and Grade 316. It can withstand mild atmospheric conditions but may corrode more quickly in aggressive environments.
-
Economical Choice: Grade 201 is chosen for its lower cost when the application doesn't require the superior corrosion resistance of Grade 304 or Grade 316.
The Difference Between Banding Clips and Banding Buckles
Banding clips and banding buckles are two metal fastening devices commonly used in industrial and commercial applications. Although they can both be used to secure straps and other items, there are a few differences that set them apart.
Banding clips are designed as single-use items. They are used for light-duty applications such as bundling together wires, cables, and hoses. They are made from hardened steel and can be easily locked into place using an ordinary pair of pliers.
Banding buckles, on the other hand, are designed for more heavy-duty applications. They are made from thicker, harder steel and are typically used for securing items in place for longer periods of time. Banding buckles are also more secure than banding clips as they are often secured in place using a unique locking mechanism.
These are manufactured in the UK from 201 stainless steel and are available in 4 sizes:

Grade 201 Stainless Steel buckles aren't as resistant to corrosion as the 304 or 316 Stainless Steel buckles which are more suitable for harsher environments such as marine environments.
