Stainless Steel Tying Wire
Here at BS Fixings, another of our fastest selling lines is our Stainless Steel Tying Wire which is available for next day delivery and comes in several different options.
We sell 2 different grades of stainless steel tying wire, 304 and 316. Grade 304 is the most common austenitic stainless steel with a high nickel content, around eight to ten and a half percent and a high chromium content of up to twenty percent. The relatively high percentage content of chromium and nickel gives the 304 stainless steel tying wire excellent corrosion resistance.
Grade 316 stainless steel also has high amounts of chromium and nickel and contains silicon, manganese, and carbon. The most significant difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel tying wire is 316 contains a greater amount of molybdenum; usually 2 to 3 percent by weight whilst 304 only contains minor trace amounts. The higher molybdenum content of 316 stainless steel tying wire gives it the increased corrosion resistance.
Below is a summary of the different stainless steel tying wires that you can buy from us here at BS Fixings.

Refill Spools are pre-wound with 2kg of high quality 304 stainless tying wire (1.2mm thickness) certified to BS EN 10088-3. The refill spool is part of the multi-award winning Reelfix Rapid System, making steel work more efficient, safe, and less wasteful. It is used alongside the Dispensing Reel and Belt Complete Set. This refill spool simply slots inside the dispensing reel for a safe and efficient way of handling tying wire.
Stainless Steel Tying Wire - Grade 304 (15/20 Kg coils)
Widely used by artists and sculptors, this wire can also be referred to as stainless steel sculpting wire. For these types of application, the product bends easily, is long lasting, aesthetically pleasing and easy to cut. Depending on the thickness chosen, the wire comes in lengths ranging from 1,250metrs for the 1.6mm to 10,000 for the 0.56mm option.
Stainless Steel Tying Wire - Grade 316
Grade 316 stainless steel lacing/tying wire is an alternative to grade 304 or galvanised tying wire. This is often needed in marine environments or any other environments where an improved resistance to corrosion is required. We have 2 different size / length options available, 1.6mm - 60 metres and 1.2mm - 110 metres.
Stainless Steel Tying Wire - Grade 316 (20 Kg coil)
