Roof Ridge Bird Spikes. Sold per metre (3 x 334mm sections). 

Our Ridge Spikes are specifically designed for ridge tiles at the top of roofs. Birds commonly choose to perch on the highest point available to have the best view of feeding sites and to be conscious of potential predators. The base is an upside-down 'V' shape, for a perfect fitting to ridges of triangular ridge tiles.  These Ridge Spikes successfully prevent birds from fouling and roosting on homes and businesses. 

Sizing

The Bird Spikes are sold in metres. Each metre consists of three 33.4 cm (13 inches) sections. For shorter lengths, the base of the product can be snapped into lengths from just 3cm (1 inch) long. The average terraced house has a roof length of 5 metres.

The two rows of stainless steel pins are 15 cm (6 inches) long grade 304 stainless steel pins. They protrude at two different angles from the UV stabilised polycarbonate base. This size and angle of pins act as a successful bird deterrent. 

Ledge Protection

Our Ridge Spikes have 2 rows of stainless steel pins that fan out to give ledge protection of 27.5 cm (11 inches). 

Humane

All of our bird spikes are humane. The spikes simply act as a barrier, making it difficult for pigeons or birds to land on the ledge. The plastic spikes do not cause injuries to the birds as no contact is made.

How to Install

The triangular base gives a secure fit onto any apex roofing ridge tile. We advise adding Fixing Silicone to the base of the ridge spike, ensuring all of the base is covered, and firmly press down into position. The upside-down 'V' shape of the base means a good grip can be achieved with no slippage. 

If your ridge tiles have a curved shape, our standard Bird Prevention Spikes can be used instead. Simply glue directly onto the top of the ridge tile.
