Extra Wide Steel Bird Prevention Spikes. Sold per metre (3 x 334mm sections).
The Extra Wide Steel Bird Prevention Spikes are a great way of deterring pigeons and other birds from your building. The spikes are grade 304 stainless steel pins, ensuring no rusting will occur. This durable Bird Prevention Spike has been tried and tested on deep ledges of up to 30 cm (12 inches) in depth. The high-quality product is suitable against even the heaviest bird or pigeon infestations.
Length
The Bird Spikes are sold in metres. Each metre consists of three 33.4 cm (13 inches) sections. For shorter lengths, the base of the product can be snapped into lengths from just 3cm (1 inch) long.
Ledge Protection
Our Extra Wide Steel Bird Spikes will protect a depth of ledge up to 12 inches (30cm). If the ledge width is 30 cm or more, a second set of spikes can be attached, leaving a very small gap between the pin tops.
Humane
All of our bird spikes are humane. The spikes simply act as a barrier, making it difficult for pigeons or birds to land on the ledge. The plastic spikes do not cause injuries to the birds as no contact is made.
How to Install
Our Extra Wide Steel Bird Spikes are very simple to install. We recommend using Bird Spike Fixing Silicone to attach the base of the spike strips to the ledge for a quick and permanent fix. This adhesive is formulated to create a strong bond with the polycarbonate base. Each section (334mm) of the product has 10 cross-shaped holes along the base. When using fixing silicone the adhesive will go through the holes, forming cross-shaped rivets. This locks the spikes in place. The holes can also be used to nail or screw the product to the surface.
There is a £10 minimum order spend.
