VHR Head Restraint | For 100-140mm Cavity Wall Blockwork| Box of 50
- The VHR Internal Head Restraint system is designed to provide restraint to the upper section of internal leaves in cavity wall constructions
- Prevents lateral displacement by securing the masonry to an overhead structural element.
- This restraint is formed from two interlocking stainless steel angles with pre-punched offset fixing points to accommodate multiple wall widths.
Technical Specification
- Material: Grade 304 austenitic stainless steel
- Design Configuration: Twin-angle assembly with offset dual-hole pattern
- Compatibility: Standard configuration suits 100mm and 140mm blockwork custom variants available for 215mm (Get in touch)
- Fixing Centres: Typically installed at 450mm or 900mm intervals, depending on calculated lateral load requirements
- Vertical Tolerance: Vertical movement is permitted by allowing clearance between the top course of masonry and the underside of the restraint angle
- Durability: Minimum 60-year design life; excellent corrosion resistance under standard internal environmental conditions
- Fire Classification: Non-combustible in accordance with national Building Regulations

Recommended Fixings (substrate dependent):
- M8 FBN II anchor – for concrete substrates
- M8 isolated setscrew – for universal beams/columns (UB/UC)
- M8 Molabolt – for rectangular/square hollow section steelwork (RHS/SHS)

Installation Procedure
- Position the longer angle at the fixing point and mark/drill as required.
- Construct the inner leaf blockwork to full height.
- Reposition the angle, align the shorter restraint angle, and secure both using a single M8 fixing bolt, torqued to the manufacturer's recommended setting.
Health & Safety Note
- Due to the nature of manufacture from sheared plate and strip, components may present sharp edges. Suitable PPE (e.g. gloves, eye protection) must be worn during handling and installation.

We offer free next day delivery to UK Mainland for all orders over £50. Any orders below £50 are subject to a £5.99 delivery charge (all charges ex VAT).

These delivery options are available at an extra charge. Delivery prices are shown at checkout stage. Orders need to be placed before 1pm Monday - Friday (working days) for delivery on the following working day.

Republic of Ireland
All shipments going to Republic Of Ireland will be sent on DAP terms. Please note that when the goods arrive in ROI the customer will be required to pay import tax and any necessary import duties before the goods are released.
