FAQs
1. What is aluminium banding used for?
- Aluminium banding (also called aluminium strapping) is used to secure insulation, cladding, ducting, and other materials in HVAC, industrial, and construction applications.
 - It is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and ideal for both temporary and permanent fixings.

2. How do you secure aluminium banding
- Aluminium banding is tensioned using a banding tensioner tool, and secured with aluminium wing seals.
 - The seal is hammered or crimped to lock the banding in place.

3. Is it better to use aluminium or stainless steel banding?
- The choice between aluminium and stainless steel banding depends on your specific application.
 - Aluminium banding is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and easy to handle, making it ideal for securing insulation, HVAC ducting, and cladding in environments
 - It is especially suitable for non-load-bearing applications and is quick to cut and install.
 - Stainless steel banding, however, provides superior tensile strength and long-term durability, making it better suited for heavy-duty or high-tension applications.
 - It performs exceptionally well in extreme weather, high-temperature environments, and where maximum load capacity is required.
