Stainless Steel: For a Sustainable Future
Balancing the needs of modern industry with environmentally-friendly working practices is not always easy but here at BS Fixings we are committed to creating this equilibrium. This means we are always looking for ways to make our operations as green as they can be while still delivering high-quality materials and components.
Stainless and Sustainable The key material we use (in over 98% of our product range) is steel which, though it may surprise you to learn, is one of the most sustainable materials on Earth for several reasons (see the recent blog article at BS Stainless for all the details). Perhaps the most compelling reason is the fact that steel is, practically uniquely, 100% recyclable; no matter how many times the metal is subjected to the recycling process, there is absolutely no reduction in material quality.
Stainless and Sustainable
The key material we use (in over 98% of our product range) is steel which, though it may surprise you to learn, is one of the most sustainable materials on Earth for several reasons (see the recent blog article at BS Stainless for all the details). Perhaps the most compelling reason is the fact that steel is, practically uniquely, 100% recyclable; no matter how many times the metal is subjected to the recycling process, there is absolutely no reduction in material quality.
Rubbish Recycling
As well as producing components that can be infinitely recycled, we also ensure that all of the waste we produce heads for the recycling plant. This includes our everyday rubbish along with larger items such as steel formers and wooden pallets.
Perfect Packaging
Though recycling is one of the best ways to improve green credentials, there is an even better way: reducing the amount of materials used in the first place. That's why we use the minimum amount of product packaging required to ensure safe and successful transportation.
Low-Impact Lighting
Our premises are, by necessity, large in scale and that means we use a lot of light bulbs! To reduce our power usage and carbon footprint, we now exclusively use eco-friendly light bulbs.
Our collection of stainless steel products is extremely wide and diverse, with new products being added all the time. Browse the collection now and subscribe to our newsletter for updates!
