On the 18th and 19th June 2015 the O2 arena in London was home to the first ever London Build Exhibition.

London Build is the leading new construction exhibition for London and the South West of England. A variety of different companies from across the world where there showing off their latest products, services and innovations all relevant to the construction industry. Over the two days there were talks and seminars from industry experts and representatives from large companies such as Balfour Beatty and BAM Nuttall.

We went down to London Build 2015 on the Friday. Catching the train from Preston early in the morning so that we could make a full day of it. On arriving at the O2 we listened to a few different speeches covering topics such as how to measure success of construction projects and how important the social outcomes of a construction project can be. We also learnt about upcoming constructions such as Crossrail. The rest of the day involved seminars, networking and meeting with builders, construction experts, product developers and many others. Picking up some new contacts and skills in the process.

Earlier in the year we visited the Fastener fair in Stuttgart. This was a huge success as we met with experts in the fixings and fastener world and got to witness some of the most innovative products currently available to market. London Build Exhibition gave us an opportunity closer to home to carry on our research and to learn more about the construction industry in our country.
