PVC-Coated Solar Panel Bird Mesh – 200mm x 30m

• This Solar Panel Bird Mesh provides a practical and long-lasting way to protect solar panels from nesting birds.
• Birds such as pigeons often shelter beneath solar arrays, where nesting materials, feathers and droppings can accumulate.
• This can create unwanted noise and mess, obstruct airflow and make the area beneath the panels more difficult to maintain.
• Manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel wire with a durable black PVC coating, this solar mesh forms a physical barrier around the perimeter of the panels while maintaining a discreet appearance.
• The 200mm width is suitable for covering the gap between most roof-mounted solar panels and the roof surface, while the mesh can be folded or trimmed where required to suit the roof profile.
• The mesh is secured to the panel frame using compatible EnviroGuard solar mesh clips. This creates a non-penetrating installation, with no need to drill into the solar panel frame or apply adhesive.

Installation guidance

• Measure the complete perimeter of the solar array before ordering. We recommend allowing an additional 1–2 metres of mesh to accommodate corners, joints and overlaps.
• For easier handling, the installation guide recommends cutting the mesh into manageable lengths of approximately 1m to 1.5m.
• Where two sections meet, overlap the mesh by three apertures and secure the joint with a compatible fixing clip and stainless steel ties.
• The mesh should fit closely around internal and external corners without leaving gaps.
• When used with the Speed Clips, the clips should generally be installed every 200mm, which is approximately five clips per metre.
• The appropriate 30mm, 35mm or 40mm clip should be chosen by measuring the depth of the solar panel frame.
