Vista VIR & VIRH Internal Head Restraints – 215mm (Box of 50)
- The VIR and VIRH Internal Head Restraints are engineered to provide lateral restraint to free-standing wall heads while allowing vertical movement.
- Designed for tying masonry or partition walls to structural soffits (e.g. slabs or beams) where vertical deflection, such as beam movement, needs to be accommodated without compromising stability.
- Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel, and are compliant with UK Building Regulations for non-combustibility.
- With a minimum service life of 60 years, they are suitable for long-term use in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Installation Instructions
- Mark & Drill: Mark the position of the VIR/VIRH restraint. Hold the tie in place, mark the fixing holes, and drill into the overhead structure.
- Build Wall: Construct the inner leaf up to the penultimate course.
- Fix Restraint: Reposition the assembled VIR/VIRH and secure it using the appropriate fixing
- Concrete soffits: Use an M8 mechanical drop-in anchor (M.D. Anchor)
- Universal beams (open steel): Use an M8 isolated setscrew
- Hollow steel sections: Use an M8 high-strength bolt (H.S.M bolt)
- Tighten Fixings: Ensure fixings are torqued to the manufacturer’s recommended settings.
- Complete Wall: Build the final course of masonry, ensuring all joints are properly filled with mortar.
